Within the last three decades, BWSC has supplied more than 170 power plants to 53 countries with a total generating capacity in excess of 3,400 MW.
Furthermore, BWSC has entered into long-term Technical Support Agreements (TSA) as well as operation and maintenance agreements covering a total accumulated plant capacity in excess of 1,900 MW.
BWSC originated from the stationary engine division of Burmeister & Wain (B&W), which has built and installed diesel engines for power plants since 1904. BWSC was established as a separate specialist company in 1980 and was acquired by Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. (MES) in 1990.
