Alternative forms of Cogeneration
Cogeneration in the form of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) may not be feasible where the climate is warm and heat consuming industry is not present.
Alternative forms of cogeneration are mainly used for:
- Production of fresh water from saline water for public or industrial use
- Generation of cooling for air conditioning or other cooling demand, otherwise requiring electricity
- Triple generation of power, heat and cooling.
BWSC has installed several power plants based on additional cogeneration technologies at various locations worldwide.
