Development of Independent Power Producer Projects (IPP´s)
BWSC is a global market leader in the sale of turnkey diesel- and biomass power plants. We are currently constructing power plants in the UK, Faroe Islands and a number of West African countries. Furthermore we have successfully developed IPP projects and the main task of the General Manager will be to further develop this business segment.
Project Development & Investments (PDI) consists of 5 Investment Managers. The General Manager of PDI will report directly to the CEO.
You will be a key player in our effort to develop and secure closure of new IPP projects. As such you will be leading PDI towards project opportunities from initial screening and financial planning to successfully closing the project. You will provide optimal leadership and professionalism both in the strategic phase and upon closing the contracts. Tasks would include the following:
- Actively seeking and screening of investment opportunities through financial modelling and risk analysis
- Undertaking technical, commercial and legal due diligence on potential investments
- Leading tenders and project development in corporation with partners Negotiating project agreements
- Prepare investment recommendations to the Executive Management Team and the Board
- Develop and maintain external relationships (advisors, investment partners etc.)
International, business-oriented leader with personal drive
You hold a B.Sc. or higher, preferably a degree in Economics, Finance or alternatively Engineering combined with a relevant business-oriented degree or demonstrable commercial experience. You have extensive experience in developing large, complex infrastructure projects with a proven track record in the development of successful IPP projects up to and beyond financial close.
The ideal candidate is:
- An experienced project developer on senior management level with a high energy level and personal drive who relishes a challenge
- A committed person capable of working in international teams - often to tight deadlines with project stakeholders and using complex contract structures
- Able to see, analyse and drive business opportunities and solutions and generate excellent results together with the project stakeholders
It is an advantage if you have relevant technical experience e.g. from EPC and/or O&M contracts of process/power plants.
You are expected to have an excellent expertise of written and spoken English. Further competency in French and/or Spanish would be an advantage.
An exciting opportunity in a company with a global presence. The successful candidate must be willing to travel abroad as required by the needs of the projects. Relocation to Denmark is a job prerequisite.
