The increased focus on climate change and reduction of CO2 emissions in recent years has led to a rising demand for green energy solutions. BWSC has embraced this development and is now an experienced provider of CO2 neutral biomass power plants with  9 turnkey projects and 10 O&M contracts.
BWSC is a leading turnkey contractor of biomass power plants.  This position has been obtained through a number of projects in the UK, where we have been responsible for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) as well as for assistance with development and financing to varying degrees.
Drawing on our competences and experiences from the biomass sector, we have recently expanded our product portfolio within renewable energy to include waste-to-energy (WtE) and Advanced Conversion Technology (ACT) solutions and have also included hybrid power solutions.

BWSC’s renewable energy solutions include:

  • Biomass plants - BWSC biomass power plants, in the range of 15-70 MWe, are typically based on wood or straw fuel and can be configured for combined heat and power (CHP)
  • Waste-to-energy -  BWSC WtE plants, in the range from 5-50 MWe are fuelled by solid waste (municipal, household or industrial) or RDF/SRF and can be configured for combined heat and power (CHP)
  • Hybrid power solutions - The hybrid systems range from 10 to 300 MWe and mix generation from PV (solar) and wind power with gas and diesel power as well as with biomass or waste power
