BWSC Generation Services has service contracts to assist with operation and maintenance of diesel power plants all over the world. We are looking for marine engineers to be stationed on short-term or long-term basis abroad on projects in Southern Europe, Africa and Latin America.
We have the following profile in mind:
• A background as marine engineer or equivalent
• Solid practical experience with 2 and or 4 stroke diesel engines and ancillary equipment
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of diesel based power plants
• Solid overall power plant experience
• Personnel management experience - preferably also with other nationalities
• Modern control systems experience
• Fluent in speaking and writing English
• Experienced IT user incl. knowledge of the Office package
• A flexible personality
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability and will to take the lead when ”the going gets tough”
• You are a doer, who is committed to what you do.
Main aspects of the job:
• Planning, management, participation in and follow up on operation and maintenance of diesel engine based power plants
• Troubleshooting
• Preparation of routines for systematic preventive maintenance of the equipment
• Maintenance reporting, controlling of spare parts consumption etc.
The work will be performed in close cooperation with BWSC’s headquarters, the other employees in BWSC’s team at the power plants, local BWSC employees and the employees of the electric companies.
Some of the positions are for permanent long-term stationing, where you may bring your family. Other positions are based on rotation schedules, i.e. a month abroad/a month at home.
