On 23 November 2009 BWSC signed a contract with Mabruk Oil Operations (MOO) in Libya for an extension to their existing power plant (built by BWSC in 2004) with a new 9 MW unit.
The contract comprises delivery of an 18 cylinder 32/40 engine from MAN Diesel operating on crude oil plus mechanical and electrical systems connected to the existing plant. Delivery time for the new unit is 18 months.
This is another important contract for a captive power plant underlining BWSC’s expertise as a specialized contractor in the field of diesel engine driven power plants.
