New contract in Sudan

01. February 2005

On February 1st 2005 White Nile (5B) Petroleum Operating Company Ltd. (WNPOC) signed a contract with BWSC/MAN B&W for the delivery of a 45 MW turnkey power plant for the Thar Jaht oil development project in southern Sudan.

WNPOC is a private company involved in development, production, and export of crude oil in Sudan. This is the first contract between WNPOC and BWSC/MAN B&W, and we are looking very much forward to cooperating with WNPOC.

The contract is for the design, engineering, supply, construction, test and commissioning of 6 x 18V32/40 MAN B&W Diesel medium speed engines to be operated on crude oil - and also covers generator and all necessary auxiliary equipment and systems installed in a powerhouse. The new powerhouse will be located on the premises of WNPOC's Central Production Facilities (CPF).
