When a power plant becomes old, when equipment gets obsolete or severely damaged, when new technology has overtaken the old design, or when environmental legislation puts new demands on a power plant, BWSC can, based on our wide experience and extensive network, offer following rehabilitation measures:
- Technical survey of old, run down or severely damaged diesel power plants including assessment of all sorts of equipment and operation data for the plant
- Elaboration of calculations and reports to help decide whether it will be feasible to up-grade or repair the plant in the light of latest available technology, investment costs, possible sources of financing, and the rate of return on investment for a possible up-grading project
- Repair of engines and auxiliary equipment e.g. after major break down or fire
- Design, delivery of equipment, installation, and commissioning of, a.o., the following:
- Systems for reduction of exhaust gas emissions
- Alpha cylinder lubricating systems for 2-stroke engines
- Slide type fuel injectors for 2-stroke engines
- Cylinder liner temperature monitoring systems for 2-stroke engines
