BWSC awarded new service order in the Bahamas


On 15 March 2012, BWSC was awarded a new service contract worth USD 2.8 mill. to install a DA12 boiler at the Clifton Pier Power Station for the client, Bahamas Electricity Corporation (BEC).

For over 20 years, BWSC and BEC have been working closely together. BWSC has amongst others constructed 54.8 MW and 18 MW power extensions for the Clifton Pier Power Station in 1992 and 2006 respectively, followed by years of service activities and various retrofit projects.

This latest contract covers: 

  • Demolition and removal of existing exhaust gas boiler
  • Supply and installation of a new waste heat boiler with a steam production capacity of 7 ton/h @ 10 Barg
  • Upgrade and/or renewal of supporting systems

The service activities will be carried out over the next nine months.
