It is a great pleasure to announce that, on 6 August 2014, in a competitive process, BWSC was awarded a 12-year Operation & Maintenance contract by Speyside Renewable Energy Partnership Limited (SREP) for the wood chip-fired biomass power plant project in Moray, Scotland.

SREP is owned by the UK Green Investment Bank, John Laing Investments Ltd and the developer, Estover Energy Ltd, who owns a minority share.

The biomass plant itself will be built by German Standardkessel GmbH under an EPC contract and is projected to commence operation in early 2016, supplying around 12 MW electricity to the grid and 9 MW heat to The Macallan whisky distillery.

The award of this O&M contract with SREP is a very important milestone for BWSC as it represents our first full O&M contract for a non-BWSC-built power plant and, thereby, a significant step towards the growth of our business as an independent service provider.
