With Health and Safety among our top priorities, BWSC is proud to announce that we are now certified compliant to the OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard
BWSC is now certified to two major, internationally recognised system standards, the ISO 9001 for Quality Management and OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety.
Our decision to become ISO and OHSAS Certified is a proactive one that not only anticipates the demands of our clients, but also demonstrates our objective to deliver quality turnkey services to our customers while ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all our employees.
Anders Jensen Heine, CEO for BWSC, commented; “The resolve to obtain OHSAS 18001 Certification demonstrates that we are committed to continuously improving our health and safety systems in the interest of our employees, customers and the general public. The investment involved in gaining such a certification is an essential part of our business offer and I am grateful for the dedication and teamwork of our employees in making this achievement possible.”
The Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Specification (OHSAS) sets out the minimum requirements for occupational health and safety management for best practice in the workplace. It is internationally accepted as the recognised standard of assessing and auditing occupational health and safety management systems. Developed by leading trade and international standards bodies, OHSAS 18001 provides a framework for organisations to instigate proper and effective management of health and safety in the workplace. The certificate was awarded by DNV GL Business Assurance and the scope of the certification includes the Danish head office in Alleroed and the Sleaford site in the UK.
